DOMUND

Dear children: today all catholic celebrate the DOMUND day: Mission’s Worldwide Sunday. We as members of the missionary childhood are gathered here around Jesus to be with him, learn from him y ask him for the missions and its missionaries.

let’s gather in groups according with the continents we have: Asia, America, Oceania, Africa and Europe. Each group will prepare a prayer, to ask o thank for the continent that has corresponded you.

We will hold hands and sing the following song or one similar:

ALL TOGETHER BEING ONE BODY, ONE PEOPLE THAT WAS BORN ON EASTER. MEMBERS OF CHRIST IN BLOOD REDEEMED, GOD’S PILGRIM CHIRCH. THE STRENGHT OF THE SPIRIT THAT THE SON SENT US BY THE FATHER LIVES IN US.

HE PUSHES US, LEADS US AND FEED US, GOD’S PILGRIM CHURCH.

After that the catechist invites the groups to do the prayer  they had prepared and, once they are finished he will indicate the children to place the alms on top the table that each one of them collected during the week for the missions.

As soon as the catechist representation is over ask the kids:

¿How did you feel?

¿Which is the message, you think, has been transmited?

¿What is the relationship between the message and the missions?

  • 7- Commitment

Invite the kids to choose a commitment for the week.

Finally, hold hands  and pray the Our Father.

(If it was planned, you can continue the party with a snack, games, etc.)
