Theme:
The kingdom of God is for those who
believe and repent.
-
Objetive :
That the
children discover that the kingdom of God is reached not by words but by goods
deeds.
-
1-Environment:
Put pictures of various sportsmen on the notice
board together with the following expression: THEY CAN REACH THE
GOAL BY PRACTISING.
Dear children: Jesus is interested not only in words but in actions.
We should do the same. What we say should be in agreement with our
feelings and our actions, if not we will be like the dry leaves that
the wind blows away. Let us now listen with attention to what Jesus
has to tell us today.
Dear Jesus, you want us to be true people, that is, you want us
to speak according to what we think and do. Help us to live
according to your teachings so that we can truly speak of you. You
can do all things, we trust in you. Amen.
Make a dice with cardboard, it doesn't matter the size.
Each one of the sides has a special meaning. 1- Start again, 2-
Take three steps,
3- I am the best, 4- Take one step, 5- I want to win, 6- Take two
steps.
The following board should be prepared before hand, the size
doesn't matter.
The children should be divided into two teams with the same
amount of players. The two teams play and the first to reach the
GOAL is the winner.
We have played the game and some people have
reached the goal on the board. Let us see what that has to do with
the message of the gospel of Matthew 21: 28-32.
What does Jesus want to tell us with the answer of the two sons
in the parable? Why does Jesus compare the first son with the high
priests and the elders of the town? With whom does Jesus compare the
second son?
Jesus spoke very clearly and he showed that the high priests and the
elders of the town, who was supposed to be good people, were like the first
of the sons who gave his word but did not act; on the other hand, the second
didn't give his word but repented and went to work. Jesus is interested with
what we do; he is not interested in beautiful words. What would happen to a
sportsman who knows the rules of the game well and because of this he
believes that he is the best, but he doesn't practice, he doesn't work hard,
and he doesn't train? He will never reach his goal. Jesus invites us to work
for the kingdom of God, for the vineyard.
